Privacy & Data Protection
EventHub is the platform that associations use to publish their events and collect registrations. This page explains, in plain words, what personal data is processed when you register for an event and what rights you have under the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679).
What data we collect
- Your name and email address, provided when you register for an event.
- Your answers to the event's registration form and, where offered, to post-event surveys.
- For paid events, payment is processed by Stripe: EventHub never stores your card details, only the payment outcome and amount.
Why we process it
Data is processed solely to manage your event registration: confirming your spot, check-in at the door, event communications from the organizing association, and — for paid events — handling payments and refunds. Each association only sees the data of its own participants; registration requires your explicit consent, recorded at sign-up.
How long we keep it
Your data is kept for as long as needed to manage the events you registered for and the association's follow-up, and no longer than necessary for those purposes. Payment records are retained for the period required by accounting and tax law, even after other personal data has been erased.
Your GDPR rights
- Access the personal data held about you.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure(“right to be forgotten”): have your contact profile, registrations and form answers permanently deleted. Payment records that must legally be retained are settled first and kept only as financial records.
- Restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time.
- Data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
How to exercise them
The organizing association you registered with is the data controller for your registration data. Send access or erasure requests directly to the organizing association (for example, replying to their event communications): its administrators can erase your data from EventHub.
